On Saturday, September 15th, DC Jobs with Justice joined food service workers, students, and community allies at the Asbury United Methodist Church to kick off UNITE HERE Local 23’s “Real Food Real Jobs” campaign. By bringing together workers, students, and faculty from various DC universities, “Real Food Real Jobs” is building a movement for healthy, sustainable food and healthy, sustainable jobs on college campuses. Workers should earn a living wage so that they too can afford the same fresh, local food that ought to be served in our food service institutions. Stay tuned for updates to come!
