rnLabor Day weekend, Friday August 29 to Monday, September 1, congregations across the Greater Washington area will participate in Labor in the Pulpits, Labor on the Bimah, Labor on the Minbar. Your congregation can participate in a number of ways:rn

  • rn Invite a congregant to speak about his or her work or involvement in the labor movement.
  • rn

  • Have a speaker from outside the congregation – a worker struggling for a voice on the job; a labor organizer; an economist, lawyer or other expert – address our congregation.

  • Talk with a member of the Interfaith Worker Justice planning committee about ideas for our program and available resources.
