If you are currently receiving public benefits (TANF, SNAP a/k/a Food Stamps, DC Medicaid, DC Alliance, childcare vouchers), and your benefits are set to expire in March or April, your benefits will be automatically renewed. You do not need to visit a Department of Human Service Center to renew.
If you need to apply for TANF, SNAP(Food Stamps), DC Alliance, or childcare vouchers, you can print and drop off an application at your local DHS Service Center. Make a copy of any papers you drop off and write yourself a detailed note stating how and when you turned the papers in.
