Under increasing pressure from big box stores and non-union groceries like Harris Teeter, Safeway and Giant are pushing for a contract that rolls back hard-won benefits such as affordable healthcare and pensions. The contract that expires on March 29th will impact 20,000 union grocery workers in the DC metro area – and countless other workers in the industry. rnrnNow is the time to send a strong message that we’ll won’t let this happen in our community.
