Justice at Wings
DC JwJ is supporting a group of workers who are on strike against Wings Enterprises LLC, a construction company that places the reinforcing steel in the concrete structure of buildings and bridges. The striking "rodmen" are demanding living wages, benefits, and a respectful workplace, as well as workplace basics such as clean drinking water and basic safety equipment. The strike has become the foundation for the Justice at Wings campaign, which has involved the DC Student Labor Action Project, Interfaith Worker Justice of Greater Washington, and DC Workers' Rights Board in delegations and other actions to support the workers.
