On September 30, ICE agents conducted the largest sweep of coordinated raids throughout California, rounding up some 1,157 undocumented immigrants. This follows the single largest workplace raid in history by ICE in Mississippi in August, which resulted in the arrest of 595 workers. This week, on October 7th, ICE arrested 300 workers at a poultry plant in South Carolina. The escalation of these devastating raids requires stepped-up resistance against these aggressive and destructive attacks on immigrant families. Join local activists and community organizers in protesting the latest raids. At 4:30 we will begin a picket in front of ICE's national headquarters. At 5:00 we will have a brief press-conference and community rally. We will close with a candlelight vigil. Please join us in sending a message that millions of people oppose these escalating attacks on immigrant communities.
