Social Justice Movie Night:
Experiences of Immigrant Workers

Friday, May 30
6 to 9 pm

St. Stephen's Church Auditorium
1525 Newton St. NW
(Corner of Newton and 16th St)

Suggested donation of $10, no one turned away.

Proceeds will go to the Indian Workers Congress (IWC) and the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES)

What: This event will look at how U.S. employers take advantage of immigrant communities in different ways, but for the same goal of lower wages and higher profits. We will watch a few short videos, one from the Salvadoran movement and one from the Indian Workers' Congress, about why people come to the U.S. for work, and what they face when they arrive. We will also hear
from folks who are working for justice in each community.
