Have you noticed rising prices at the grocery store and gas pump? Working class people are worried about stretching their paychecks, and those 2.8 billion people in the world who live on less than $2 per day are feeling the pressure at extreme levels.

Last year, 75,000 Mexicans protested the rising price of tortillas, and earlier this month, mass strikes and protests rocked Egypt over rising inflation that makes bread and other food unaffordable and unavailable. Currently, skyrocketing prices in Haiti cause many to eat an edible clay as the cheapest nutrition available.

Join a discussion that will examine the role of capitalism and free-market policies in today's global food crisis.
