Please join D.C. Human Right's People's Movement for a press conference to release their report on the state of human rights in the District of Columbia.

The City Council of the District of Columbia declared Washington, DC a Human Rights City in 2008 after a campaign initiated by the American Friends Service Committee of DC Peace and Economic Justice Program and People's Movement for Human Rights Education. On May 26, 2011, the Steering Committee of DC Human Rights People's Movement created a process to develop an annual report on the human rights status of District residents.
