We will call on City Council to be superheros and save our safety net, and we will celebrate the everyday heroes who strengthen and depend on safety net services.

Protest Cuts to Safety Net Services with the Fair Budget Coalition

Why? Because the Mayor's proposed budget for FY2011 makes cuts to vital programs like child care vouchers, adult job training, and domestic violence services. Our safety net is already in tatters, after more than
$100 million in cuts in the last two years. We can't afford to cut any more.

Start: 6:00 pm

Join ONE DC (Organizing Neighborhood Equity) to hold elected officials, Marriott, and the Convention Center Authority accountable for their promises to train and hire DC residents.
